Terms of Service

1. What Fincanto does

Fincanto stores your receipts, bills and invoices, reads them, sorts them into reports, and lets you download or export them. It is free for up to 100 documents per account.

We may change features and limits over time. If we ever start charging, we'll tell you in advance, and we won't charge you unless you agree to pay.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 18 years old to use Fincanto.
• Use an email address you control, and keep access to it and to any Google account you sign in with secure. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
• Tell us at hello@fincanto.com if you think someone else has used your account.

3. Teams

A team shares its documents with the people invited to it. Team members can see, add and change the team's documents, depending on their role. Documents added to a team belong to the team. Invite only people you trust with them.

4. Your documents

Your documents are yours. You give us permission to store, copy, process, display and send them only as needed to run Fincanto for you, including sending them to the service providers named in our Privacy Policy.

Upload only documents you have the right to use. Anyone who knows your Fincanto receipt address can send documents to your account, so share it only with senders you trust.

5. Check the details

Fincanto uses AI to read your documents, and it can make mistakes. Check the vendor, date, amount and other details before you rely on them.

Fincanto is a record-keeping tool. It is not tax, accounting, legal or financial advice, and it does not decide what you can deduct or claim. You are responsible for your own tax filings and records, so keep your own copies of anything you are required to keep.

6. Using Fincanto fairly

Please don't:

• break the law, or use Fincanto to help anyone else do so;
• upload malware, or content you don't have the right to share;
• try to get into other people's accounts or data, or get around Fincanto's security or limits;
• overload or disrupt the service, or scrape it with automated tools;
• send spam to Fincanto addresses;
• copy, resell or reverse engineer Fincanto, except where the law allows it.

If you find a security problem, please report it to hello@fincanto.com instead of testing it on other people's data.

7. Keeping Fincanto running

We work to keep Fincanto available and your documents safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may pause it for maintenance, and we may change or stop parts of it. If we ever shut Fincanto down, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice so you can download your documents.

8. Ending your use

You can stop using Fincanto and delete your account at any time from your settings.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts Fincanto, its users or others at risk. Where it is reasonable, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to download your documents.

9. Our rights

Fincanto's software, design, name and logo belong to Addava. These terms don't give you rights to them beyond using Fincanto. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without owing you anything.

10. Disclaimers

To the extent the law allows, Fincanto is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.

11. Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, Addava is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, tax penalties or missed deductions, arising from your use of Fincanto. Our total liability for any claim about Fincanto is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US$50.

Some places don't allow these limits. Where that is the case, they apply only as far as the law allows.

12. Responsibility for misuse

If someone makes a claim against Addava because of content you uploaded or your breach of these terms, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of that claim, to the extent the law allows.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law rules, and disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located there. If you live in a country whose consumer laws give you more protection, such as in the European Union or the United Kingdom, those protections still apply and you may bring a claim in your local courts.

14. Changes to these terms

When we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using Fincanto after that, you accept the new terms. If you don't agree, stop using Fincanto and delete your account.

15. The rest

These terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Fincanto. If part of them can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a part right away, we haven't given up the right to. You may not transfer these terms to someone else without our agreement. We may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of the business.
